Back in 2011, the year I of my Spiritual Awakening, I was very open Spiritually experiencing my departed loved ones and others in Spirit daily, within meditation, in my dream state and walking around in my wakeful state. I had not learned about the Gift of Spirit yet, my own sacred space within and around me or how to practice grounding to close my chakras and Spiritual center to be in the here and now. It was around this time that many in Spirit were knocking at my door and my door was always open. One day while walking into a store, I felt a young man in Spirit connect with me, he was wearing a red baseball cap, he said “Hi.” I knew right away who it was, his familiar big, bright white smile and upbeat personality shined through reminding me of him when we were young in school growing up. I was a bit taken back, as it had been years since we last saw one another in person at a Wheaton High School football game. He showed up to this football game my senior year with some other guys back in the day I knew from elementary, Chuck and Steve. That was the last time I saw him and the last time we said, “Hi.” I did not know what to do when he connected with me Spiritually, so I just said “Hi” back to him from within. When I got home after grocery shopping, I walked into my house to wash my hands in the bathroom, I felt and saw him again in Spirit. This time it was a stronger Spiritual connection, he connected as an old friend, “Hi, it’s me Todd.” I could feel him more, see him and hear him clearly. He was persistent and asked me to spend some time with him in meditation.
Back in 2011, I would go into meditation to connect Spiritually to receive messages from my departed loved ones then I would share these messages with my family. I had known Todd for many years growing up as we attended the same elementary school, Wheaton Christian Grammar School. I knew and could feel from him he had a reason for connecting with me at this time. I went upstairs to meditate, and Todd came through clear as day, we reminisced of our childhood days in elementary and then I could feel he had a mission. He wanted to connect with his family. Todd brought many signs that day, the next day and week to let me know he was Spiritually present. He told me he could connect me to one of his family members, who I knew too. I was reluctant, though he said he would do all the work. One day while meditating, Todd connected and gave me a date of a USA Today article to look up then he shared with me this family member’s number is in this article, to please call her and tell her I’ve come to you and want to connect with her. Well, Todd was spot on. I looked up the article and her name and phone number were listed. I could not believe it! This had never happened with any of my loved ones in Spirit bringing such specifics. That evening I meditated with Todd to receive his messages for his family member. I wrote them all down, picked up the phone and called her…she answered, and she remembered me.
I can share with you a few of these validated messages Todd brought to her of how he loved the song, “Celebration,” by Kool and the Gang, his basketball jersey, his love of family and mentioned their names, and the fun times they enjoyed. Todd’s essence and personality came shining through clear as day in his Spirit with his messages to his family member. One of the most powerful healing messages in closing Todd brought through that day has stuck with me all these years,
“We were out of our bodies before the plane hit the ground, I had no pain.”
Todd wanted her to know he was okay, in Heaven watching over her and he did not experience any pain when flight 93 went down on 9/11. Every year on 9/11, I think about Todd, his determination, his heroism, his faith, his love for his family and his love of his country. He is still smiling, saying “Hi.”
Todd Beamer
Todd Morgan Beamer (November 24, 1968 – September 11, 2001) was an American man aboard United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked and crashed as part of the September 11 attacks in 2001. He was one of the passengers who attempted to regain control of the aircraft from the hijackers. During the struggle, the Boeing 757 lost control and crashed into a field in Stonycreek Township near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, saving the hijackers’ intended target (either the White House or the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C) and additional victims.
